Genesis 45

I was reading last night and I came across Genesis 45. This chapter is all about Joseph being revealed to his brothers after they sold him into slavery and he was made governor over the land.

Quick summary - There was a famine across the land and Joseph's brothers came to his country because they were hungry and they heard there was food there. It makes me happy to know that God takes care of us even when we are in sin. I mean really how much more sinful can you get than selling your own sibling into slavery, yet God knew Joseph would be governor and would supply food to his brothers even though they sinned against him. I'm not saying we should just sin because we know God should take care of us ... but it's so nice to know that even when we are at our weakest and the farthest away from God he still loves and cares for us and is preparing plans for our future.

Genesis 45:5 - 8 But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. For these two years the famine has been in the land and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And God sent me before you to preserve a prosperity for you in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
